Sacrament of Confirmation

Our Ignite Confirmation preparation initiative seeks to inspire those preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Ignite will help unpack the journey of faith, identify how the Spirit is at work in our lives and what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. This new initiative involves learning, sharing, serving, fellowship, spiritual growth, and fun! Confirmation is a two-year process open to anyone in 7th grade or older.

Students will be divided into two groups: students beginning their first year of preparation (usually 7th grade) should sign up for Confirmation 1 and students in their second year of preparation (usually 8th grade) should sign up for Confirmation 2. Both groups will meet on Sundays from 4-6:30pm following this schedule:

1st Year Confirmation (Schedule B)

November 17 (Retreat with Parents)
January 12
February 23
March 23
April 27

2nd Year Confirmation (Schedule A)
October 6
November 3
January 5
February 1(Retreat 1-6pm)
March 2
April 6

There is $50 Retreat fee for both years of Confirmation preparation. As families approach the Sacrament, a donation is encouraged. If this is your first time registering for a St. Bart’s Faith Formation program, please submit a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate to Kara Goldstein ([email protected]).

We will be collecting candy to make Candy Gift Bags and Cards for the Vet's at Valley Brook Vets Home, Local Nursing Homes and All St. Bart's Homebound Parishioners. Please bring a bag of Candy to donate, gift bags and cards will be provided. Please use the link below to register!
