Through Emmaus Family Formation, we seek to foster an encounter with God, learn and grow together in our Catholic faith, connect families, and empower parents with skills and support in strengthening family life and faith at home. Let us walk with you on the journey! We gather on Sundays once a month from October through May for sessions that include classes and activities for kids in 1st-6th grade, sacrament preparation for 1st and 2nd grade, crafts and games for little ones (PreK), interactive parent sessions, and a family activity to wrap up each gathering.
First Communion and First Reconciliation preparation are provided through Emmaus Family Formation. Click the link below to read more and sign up.
To encourage and support the St. Bartholomew the Apostle families with young children to grow in their faith, connect with the parish, and help parents in their vocation. Young family life comes with many challenges, including keeping the kids occupied throughout the day, so why not pass the time together - we are all in the same boat!
Events are geared toward families with children six and younger, but all families (young and old) are welcome to join! We also support parish wide events with activities for children.

Pray and Play is designed for ages 3-5. Children may be dropped off in the Aftercare Room, on the lower level of the Church, just prior to the 10:30AM Mass. Here they will engage in fun activities and hear the Gospel at their level of understanding. They should be picked up immediately following Mass. No registration is required.
Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is designed for children ages 6-9 to encounter Jesus through the Word of God. The Sunday Mass readings of the day are read and a team of teachers lead music, activities and discussions that guide children in receiving the Word of God. No registration is required - children will be called forward during the Mass just after the opening prayer.
Both CLOW and Pray and Play are typically active during the Fall to Spring months (October-May).

We are excited to welcome your child into the family of God through the sacrament of Baptism! At our parish, Baptisms usually take place on Saturday or Sunday afternoons throughout the month. First-time parents are asked to come to a Baptismal Preparation meeting (typically no more than an hour!) to learn more about Baptism, to meet other parents, and to dive deeper into the meaning of the Sacrament.
Please give us a call at (908) 322-5192 ext. 100 and Kathy or Eric will be happy to assist you in scheduling both your child's Baptism and the Baptism Preparation session (if needed). We look forward to hearing from you!
